Traffic counts will be taken next week
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces that consultants, Crawford, Bunte, Brammeier Traffic and
Transportation Engineers, have been hired to conduct traffic counts
during the week of Oct. 27. These counts will be conducted to assess the
feasibility of a new interchange to I-70 in an area from Perche Creek to
approximately 1 mile east of Perche Creek.
	Intersection counts are scheduled to be performed throughout the
week from 7-9 a.m. and 4-6 p.m. The locations are:
	● Highway 40 at the I-70 westbound ramp intersection;
	● Highway 40 at the I-70 eastbound ramp intersection;
	● State Hwy UU at S. Hwy UU;
	● Strawn Road at Broadway Boulevard; and
	● I-70 mainline counts west of Stadium highway exit (personnel
will be located on the north outer road).

	Machine counters will be placed at the following locations: 
	●	Route E (north of Sunflower);
	●	I-70 N. Outer Road (west of Sorrels Overpass);
	●	Scott Boulevard and I-70 AJR/EA
	●	I-70 N. Outer Road (east of Sorrels Overpass/west of N.
Dawn Drive);
	●	I-70 S. Outer Road (west of Silvey Street);
	●	I-70 S. Outer road (East of Silvey Street);
	●	Worley Street (West of Stadium);
	●	Worley Street (east of Strawn Road);
	●	Broadway (east of Strawn Road);
	●	Broadway (west of Stadium);
	●	Scott Boulevard (south of Broadway/North of Rollins);
	●	Strawn Road (north of Worley);
	●	Strawn Road (south of Worley);
	●	Silvey Street (north of Worley);
	●	Silvey Street (south of Worley);
	●	Stadium (north of I-70/south of Outer Road); and
	●	Stadium (south of I-70/north of Outer Road).
