National Telecommunications Week - April 12-18

COLUMBIA, MO (April 10, 2009) - The Columbia/Boone County Public Safety

the link between residents and the emergency services they need. The
professionalism each of our telecommunicators displays is something all

National Telecommunications Week is designed to recognize the
outstanding service of 911 operators. Highlights of the week include an
open house at the operations center from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on
Wednesday, April 15, the unveiling of a proclamation signed by Columbia
Mayor Darwin Hindman and Boone County commissioners and the hanging of a
commemorative banner in front of the Operations Center on Seventh Street
