Board of Health seeks public input on new animal control ordinance
COLUMBIA, MO (April 15, 2009) -
Who Should Attend: Any stakeholder involved with the plight of unwanted
animals or residents interested in future city of Columbia or Boone
County ordinances that will address the overpopulation of unwanted pets
What: Public Hearing
When: Wednesday, April 22, at 6 p.m.
Where: City Council Chambers, 701 East Broadway in Columbia
Why: To collect the public’s input before the Board of Health begins
drafting a new animal control ordinance that will address the
overpopulation of pets, and to obtain public input concerning
stakeholder involvement in the care and prevention of unwanted animals.
