Health Department sets up blog to collect comments

COLUMBIA, MO (April 24, 2009) - Approximately 50 people attended a
public hearing sponsored by the Board of Health this week to share their
thoughts on future animal control ordinances that will address the
overpopulation of pets in Columbia/Boone County. The public is now
invited to leave comments
regarding future ordinances online by visiting the health
department’s blog at
www.boonecountypublichealth.blogspot.com. The blog can also be accessed
via the health department’s page of the city's Web site; visit
www.GoColumbiaMo.com and follow links to the health department’s
page.

The Board of Health will continue to collect comments until the next
meeting, which is scheduled for May 14 at 5:30 p.m. at the health
department, 1005 West Worley in Columbia. To read minutes from previous
Board of Health meetings and the current City of Columbia and Boone
County Animal Control
ordinances, please visit the health department’s page by following
the link from the City of Columbia Web site, www.GoColumbiaMo.com.
