Vouchers for trash and recycling bags to be mailed week of Dec.
7	
							
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Solid Waste Division would
like to remind Columbia residents that they will receive new vouchers in
the mail for black trash bags and blue recycling bags the week of Dec.
7. These vouchers are redeemable at local retail businesses for bags at
no charge. Each store has different procedures for redeeming the
voucher, please check at the cashier or service desk for details.
	
              Businesses that accept the vouchers include: Gerbes
Supermarket, Hy-Vee, Moser’s Discount Foods, Patricia’s Foods,
Schnuck’s Supermarket, Westlake Ace Hardware and Menards.
	Additional information about the new voucher program can be
found on the city’s Web site at www.GoColumbiaMo.com (search:
GoBagVoucher). Residents will receive new vouchers each April, August
and December. Vouchers are redeemable one time only, as they are tracked
by barcode and therefore can not be duplicated. New residents moving to
Columbia will be sent a voucher within three weeks of signing up for
city utilities. In an effort to reduce waste, the city is asking
residents who do not need bags to not redeem the voucher.
