Public hearings for GetAbout Columbia projects	
							
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces upcoming public hearings for several GetAbout Columbia
infrastructure projects to be held Monday, Feb. 2, beginning at 7 p.m.
in the Council Chambers, fourth floor of the Daniel Boone Building, 701
E. Broadway. Public hearings will be held for the following proposed
projects for bicycle and pedestrian improvements:
●	Greenbriar to Hinkson Creek Trail and MU: $810,000 project
●	Bear Creek Trail Connection/Improvements to Python Court (Bear
Creek Trail to Blue Ridge with Python Court Connection): $280,000
project
●	Intersections Improvements- Providence/Green Meadows and
Providence/Business Loop 70: $800,000 project
	Funding for GetAbout Columbia is provided by the $22 million
Federal Highway Administration’s Non-Motorized Transportation Pilot
Program. These funds are earmarked for infrastructure and
non-infrastructure projects. The non-infrastructure projects of the
initiative include generating awareness of the project and providing
education and encouragement opportunities.
	Public comment is encouraged during public hearings at City
