Trash collection day to change for East Campus and Grassland areas
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces the residential trash and recycling collection day will change
for East Campus and Grassland residents from Wednesday to Monday,
effective Aug. 3. Residents who are affected by this change will be
notified by door hangers prior to the date change.  
	“The goal of this change is to reduce trash-out-early
collections in the East Campus area, which have continued to increase in
recent years,” said Richard Wieman, solid waste manager. “We hope by
moving the trash day from Wednesday to Monday it will be more convenient
for residents.” 
	By changing only these two areas, it will have the least impact
on other trash routes. Only residents who live in the East Campus and
Grassland neighborhoods will be affected by the change in the collection
day. If you are uncertain as to whether your trash collection day will
be affected, contact the Solid Waste Division at (573) 874-6291 or check
the map on the home page of the city’s Web site at
www.GoColumbiaMo.com.
