Parks and Recreation Presents June Family Fun Fest

COLUMBIA, MO - If you missed the first ever Family Fun Fest in May,
here’s your chance to join in on the fun!  The Family Fun Fests will
be held the third Wednesday of each month through October at Flat Branch
Park. Coming soon:

June 17: Stream Extravaganza:  A collaboration with City of
Columbia/Boone County Public Works
An evening of fun, frogs, fishing poles, nature tattoos, learning &
more for the whole family.  Over 20 fun activities for all ages. Come
and see how this former EPA cleanup site was transformed to a beautiful
park complete with a meandering stream.

The Family Fun Fests are sponsored by the Convention & Visitors Bureau,
KPLA 101.5 Radio, KOMU TV8 and Home & Lifestyle Magazine. 

The Fun Fests will feature a new theme each month. Each one will be
held from 6-8 p.m. and is free. Entertainment for the entire family will
feature music, special performances, art activities, bounce-houses,
hands-on activities, balloon-animals, face painting and guaranteed fun
for all ages. Also, don’t miss out on the City of Columbia’s very
own firetruck and police car and don’t forget to visit the Youzeum on
Cherry Street, open until 7:30 p.m.
