Providence Road and Buttonwood Drive construction
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces that beginning Monday, March 9, Emery Sapp & Sons will begin
street improvements at Providence Road and Buttonwood Drive. Northbound
Providence between Grindstone Parkway and Green Meadows will have lane
widths reduced and the lanes shifted, however both lanes will remain
open during construction. An additional northbound lane is being
constructed, which will include access to the new HyVee and Buttonwood
roundabout. At Buttonwood Drive, in front of the Missouri Credit Union,
lane widths will be reduced to facilitate construction of the new
roundabout. 
	This joint project between the city of Columbia and Missouri
Department of Transportation is being funded through the Transportation
Development District. The work should be completed this October, weather
permitting. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme
caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route
whenever possible.
