‘Keys to the City’ features Council office hours, information fair
and neighborhood congress

COLUMBIA, MO (May 4, 2009) - 

Office Hours and Information Fair
When: Wednesday, May 6, from 5-7 p.m.

Where: Activity and Recreation Center, 1701 W. Ash Street

What: Citizens can visit with City Council members on issues important
to them, including FY 2010 budget priorities during the following
“Council Office Hours.” 
Ward 2 - Jason Thornhill, 6-7 p.m.
Ward 3 - Karl Skala, 5-7 p.m.
Ward 4 - Jerry Wade, 6-7 p.m.
Ward 5 - Laura Nauser, 6-7 p.m.
Ward 6 - Barbara Hoppe 6-7 p.m.
Mayor Darwin Hindman - 5-6 p.m.
*Ward 1 Councilman Paul Sturtz is unavailable due to scheduling
conflict.

Information fair
Information about home, neighborhood and community resources will be
available from the following departments: Environmental Health, Finance,
Neighborhood Response specialists, Neighborhood Watch, Parks and
Recreation, Planning, Protective Inspection, Volunteer Services and
Water & Light. 

Neighborhood Congress
When: Wednesday, May 6, from 7-8:30 p.m.

Where: Activity and Recreation Center, 1701 W. Ash Street

What: City Planning and Development Department will talk with citizens
about neighborhood participation in local planning. Topics include the
development process, public improvement projects, traffic management,
code enforcement and public safety.

“Keys to the City” supports Columbia’s vision to become a
connected, informed and engaged community. The event is free and open to
