Eagle Scouts help lay foundation for ‘Blind’ Boone Home
restoration

COLUMBIA, MO (May 15, 2009) - 

When: Saturday, May 16, from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Where: John William “Blind” Boone home, 10 N. Fourth Street

What: Eagle Scout Cyrus Tague and the members of Troop 706 will
partially demolish and clean up the interior of the Boone home, listed
on the US National Register of Historic Places. 

This volunteer project will launch the continuing restoration of the
Boone home. Exterior renovation is expected to take place May -
September 2009 at a cost of about $225,000.
