Register now for renewable energy conference
(COLUMBIA, MO) - The latest developments in renewable energy and
efficiency are the focus of the ‘Advancing Renewables in the
Midwest’ conference in Columbia on June 3. The day will feature
over a dozen speakers from across the country and informational booths.
The cost of the conference is $45 for the general public and $75 for
energy professionals. Registration needs to be completed by Friday, May
29. More information and registration can be accomplished online at
www.AdvancingRenewables.org or by calling (573) 874-7325.
Growing environmental concerns, technological advances and new
funding from the federal stimulus package have brought about many
changes in the world of energy. Solar, wind, hydro power and algae
farming will all be covered at the conference along with the latest in
energy efficiency programs. The economic development implications of
renewable energy and energy efficiency will be the focus of this
year’s event. A list of speakers and topics can also be found on
the Web site.
The fourth annual Advancing Renewables in the Midwest conference
is sponsored by Columbia Water & Light, the Missouri Department of
Natural Resources and the University of Missouri - Columbia.
