Albert-Oakland, Stephens Lake Open for Memorial Day weekend
COLUMBIA, MO - Columbia Parks and Recreation will open the
Albert-Oakland Family Aquatic Center on Memorial Day weekend, May 23-25.
Hours of the facility over the weekend will be from 12-6 p.m. all three
days, weather permitting.
Parks and Recreation has other swimming options available over the
weekend as well. Stephens Lake and the swimming beach at Stephens Lake
Park is open daily through September 30, free of charge. The lake is an
unguarded, “swim at your own risk” facility, open from dawn to dusk.
A spraygrounds water feature is adjacent to the beach and is also free
to the public.
Flat Branch Park also offers a spraygrounds feature, free of charge. It
is open daily from dawn to dusk.
The City’s other outdoor aquatic facilities will open for the season
June 6.
