Public hearing for Columbia Regional Airport master plan update
(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Public Works Department announces a public
hearing for the Columbia Regional Airport master plan update. The
hearing will be held Monday, Oct. 19, during the regularly scheduled
City Council meeting, which begins at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers,
fourth floor of the Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway.
The airport master plan identifies the airport’s facility
needs and major proposed actions over the next 20 years, including
environmental considerations. The major items of the plan include the
extension of airfield pavements, site development for terminal
facilities and structures, relocation of navigational aids, aviation
forecast, land acquisition and public roadway realignments.
The public is encouraged to attend the public hearing and
comment on the proposed airport master plan update. If you have any
questions about the public hearing, please contact the Public Works
Department at (573) 874-7250. The proposed master plan documents can be
found online at www.FlyMidMo.com or are available at the Columbia Public
Library or the City Clerk’s office.
