Health Department Expands H1N1 Vaccinations to Include Two Additional
Priority Groups 

The Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and Human
Services is offering the following opportunities for H1N1 vaccinations:
PREGNANT WOMEN
·         Pregnant women who are residents of Boone County will be
offered H1N1 vaccine on a walk-in basis at the health department,
Monday-Friday from 8 am-4:30 pm. No appointment is necessary. 
·         Pregnant women should first check with their obstetrician
regarding vaccine availability at their office.
·         Women who are not Boone County residents should check with
their local health department regarding vaccine availability.
·         Vaccine will be available while supplies last.
CHILDREN AGE 5-18 WITH CHRONIC MEDICAL CONDITIONS
·         The health department will hold a walk-in clinic for Boone
County residents ages 5-18 with chronic medical conditions.
·         Tuesday, November 3rd from 10 am – 3 pm at the Health
Department, 1005 West Worley in Columbia
·         Vaccine will be available while supplies last.
·         Parents do not need to make an appointment. 
·         Some pediatricians and family medicine physicians in Boone
County have agreed to offer the H1N1 vaccine to their patients. Parents
are encouraged to consult their pediatrician for vaccine availability.
