City offices closed on Labor Day; City Council meeting scheduled for
Tuesday 
									
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - City offices will be closed in observance of
Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 7. The regular City Council meeting will be
held Tuesday, Sept. 8, at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers, located on the
fourth floor of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway. Residential refuse and
recycling collection will not be made Sept. 7 and will be delayed one
day throughout the week. Questions concerning holiday refuse collection
may be directed to the Solid Waste Division at 874-6291. Household
Hazardous Waste will remain open on Saturday, Sept. 5, from 9 a.m. to 1
p.m. City buses will not operate, the sanitary landfill will be closed
and parking meter regulations will not be enforced. Though
administrative offices for both the police and fire departments will be
closed, all other emergency services will be available.
