COLUMBIA, MO- Family Fun Fests are back in 2010! ColumbiaParksand Recreation will offer a new family event at FlatBranchParkthe third Wednesday of each month through October.
 
The Fun Fests will feature a new theme each month. Each one will be held from 6to 8 p.m.and is free. Entertainment for the entire family will feature music, special performances, art activities, bounce-houses, hands-on activities, balloon-animals, face painting and guaranteed fun for all ages.
 
The Family Fun Fests are sponsored by the Convention & Visitors Bureau, KPLA 101.5, KOMU 8 and Columbia Home & Lifestyle Magazine. 
 
April 21: Teen Fest - Sponsored by the Youth Community Coalition
Enjoy the bungee run, art wall, activities and more.  Ages 12-19 can enter the talent contest in one of the following categories: music, dance or spoken words/other.  Cash prizes for top act in each category. Call Erinat 874-6341 or email at edcarril at GoColumbiaMo.com to enter. All ages welcome. There will be various organizations providing information and activities for all.  In recognition of child abuse prevention month and alcohol awareness month. 
 
Also, kids will have the chance to tour the Daniel Regional Library Bookmobile and a police car and fire truck from the City of Columbia.
