Columbia Transit hosting photo contest to celebrate 100th anniversary
of Wabash Station
        
(COLUMBIA, MO) – This year marks the 100th anniversary of the historic
Wabash Station, home to Columbia Transit’s public transportation system.
In honor of this celebration, Columbia Transit is hosting a photography
contest, and especially looking for high resolution photos that best
represent its slogan - "Keeping Columbia MO on the Go."
Categories for photo entries include: 
1. Historical photos of Wabash Station, trains at the Wabash or bus
riders - including stunning historical photos that showcase the Wabash
Station when it served as Columbia’s Train Station from 1910 to 1964, or
old photos of Columbia Transit buses and/or riders. Photos may include
people using and enjoying the train or city bus facilities. Historical
photos may be submitted by individuals who now own the historic photo
and have rights to share the photo.

2. Bus station and/or bus riders (2007 to 2010) - We're looking for
photographs showcasing Columbia Transit buses, the Wabash Station or
people on the buses.Photos in this category must be submitted by the
photographer who took the photo, and must be 18 years or older. Photos
must have been taken between 2007 to present. 
Prizes will be awarded in both categories at the 100th anniversary
celebration of the Wabash Station on July 16. All photos submitted have
the possibility of being used in Columbia Transit publications and
promotions with photographer acknowledgement.    
 
The contest deadline is June 25, 2010. Contest rules and information
