Sidewalk construction to begin
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces that beginning Monday, Jan. 18, J.C. Industries of Jefferson
City, Mo., will begin work on the East Area Sidewalk Replacement
Project. The work will result in temporary lane restrictions on Walnut
Street from Short Street to William Street, on Paquin Street from Hitt
Street to College Avenue, and on Anthony Street from College Avenue to
William Street. These three sidewalk projects are being funded by the
American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 at a cost of $204,000.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in
the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
