FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
MOTORCYCLE AND COLUMBIA PARA TRANSIT BUS COLIDE 

Units of the Columbia Missouri Fire Department were called at 7:56 a.m. on Monday, July 12, 2010 to 1900 Vandiver Dr for a reported injury accident. 

Fire Fighters arrived on the scene and found a motorcycle had collided with a Columbia Para Transit Bus. Crews found the driver of the motorcycle seriously injured and laying on the ground near the rear of the bus. EMS and Fire Crews quickly loaded the driver of the motorcycle into an ambulance and he was transported with Fire Department assistance to University Hospital as a Trauma Alert (life threatening injuries).

There were no passengers on the bus at the time of the accident and the driver of the bus received no injuries as a result of the accident.
