The state of renewable energy in the Midwest

(COLUMBIA, MO) – Discussions on renewable energy come up frequently but how far have we come with our quest for environmentally friendly electricity that will make the United States more energy independent? Speakers from across the nation will be in Columbia on Thursday, July 15, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the University of Missouri campus to cover a wide range of renewable energy projects and topics. Speakers from the Department of Energy, the Environmental Protection Agency, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and other national agencies will present the latest information at the conference. Funding, legislative updates, economic impacts, new renewable projects and energy efficiency will be covered at the event.

The cost of the conference is $75 for the general public and $100 for energy professionals. Registration can be accomplished online at AdvancingRenewables.org or by calling (573) 882-4349 or (866) 682-6663. A list of speakers and topics can also be found on the website.
