Tuesday's tornado drill postponed

COLUMBIA, MO (March 8, 2010) - Due to a threat of strong to severe
thunderstorms in portions of the state on Tuesday, March 9, the State
Emergency Management Agency has postponed Tuesday's planned statewide
tornado drill. However, the drill will take place on Thursday, March 11,
at the same approximate time of 1:30 p.m. We ask that you take that time
to conduct your tornado drill with your staff, students and clients, as
you would have done on Tuesday. The Columbia/Boone County Office of
Emergency Management (OEM) will activate the storm warning sirens as
part of the drill on Thursday afternoon.
