Mayor to issue Earth Hour proclamation today at 9:30 a.m.
COLUMBIA, MO (March 15, 2010) -
When: Monday, March 15, 9:30 a.m.
Where: City Council Chamber, 4th floor, Daniel Boone Building, 701 E.
Broadway
What: Mayor Hindman will sign an Earth Hour proclamation Monday
morning, March 15, at 9:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers of the new City
Hall addition at 701 E. Broadway. The mayor’s proclamation will urge
Columbians to participate in Earth Hour 2010.

Earth Hour Kick-Off Event
Thursday, March 25, 10 a.m.,in the lobby of the City Hall addition at
701 E. Broadway
Earth Hour Observation, Saturday, March 27, 8:30-9:30 p.m.
Columbians will turn off lights and non-essential electricity in homes
and buildings to take part in a symbolic “wave of darkness” encircling
the globe. In 2009, millions of participants in more than 4,000 cities
in 88 countries “switched-off” as a pledge of support for reducing the
effect of global climate change.
