Electronic waste recycling this weekend
        
(COLUMBIA, MO) – The city of Columbia Solid Waste Division announces
that Mid-MO Recycling will collect used electronics this weekend as part
of its effort to save landfill space through environmentally-friendly
recycling. Collections will take place on Saturday, May 22, from 9 a.m.
to 1 p.m. in the Home Depot parking lot, 3215 Clark Lane. 

 Items accepted at no charge include CPUs, printers, keyboards,
computer mice, laptops, hard drives, cell phones, pagers, washing
machines, stoves, radios, satellite dishes, scanners, speakers, DVD
players, VCRs, fax machines, telephones, car batteries, dryers and
stereos. Other items accepted at a small fee include monitors, portable
televisions, console televisions, copiers and microwaves. Hazardous
materials will not be accepted at this collection event.

This event is sponsored by the city of Columbia, Home Depot and Mid-MO
