Ribbon cutting planned for Maguire Boulevard
        
(COLUMBIA, MO) – The city of Columbia invites the public to attend a
ribbon cutting for the completion of Maguire Boulevard on Monday, Nov.
29, at 3 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the north end of Maguire at
Stadium Boulevard, just east of Highway 63.
The completed project includes new street pavement with two bridges
over the north and south forks of Grindstone Creek, sidewalk and bike
lanes from the Lemone Industrial area northward to Stadium Boulevard.
Construction cost for this project was $6.9 million, which was funded by
the Special Road District Tax, ¼ cent Capital Improvement Sales Tax,
Capital Fund Balance, development fees and developer contributions. The
new roadway is now open to traffic.
