Mayor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Health Holding Award Ceremony
            
The Mayor's Council on Physical Fitness and Health is holding its annual Fitness Award ceremony at 6 p.m.on November 2. The ceremony will be held at ColumbiaCity Hall, Conference Room 1A.
 
Columbia Mayor Bob McDavid will recognize individuals and organizations who have made a commitment to their personal health or who have inspired others around them. Winners were nominated for the awards. 
 
The 2010 award winners are: Big Brothers and Big Sisters, StephensCollege, Mark Brown, Billie Coachman, Toby Cunningham, Nicole Deters, Shelly Devore, Annie Dohack, Darwin Hindman, Linda LaFontaine, Mindaloo Paxman, Branca Prentiss, Erika Rice, Simon Rose, Senator Kurt Schaefer, Evelina Slatinska, and Ian Thomas.
 
The mission of the Mayor’s Council is to improve the physical fitness and health, and enhance the quality of life of all citizens of Columbiaand BooneCounty. It is administered through Parks and Recreation. Members are appointed by City Council.
