Business Loop 70 traffic restricted for a week

COLUMBIA, MO (April 8, 2011) - Beginning Monday, April 11, the Columbia Terminal Railroad (COLT) will replace the railroad crossing on Business Loop 70 East near the Municipal Power Plant. Business Loop 70 East traffic will be restricted to one lane in each direction while COLT replaces the track and crossing surface.  Motorists are urged to be cautious in the construction area. The work is expected to take about a week to complete, weather permitting. 

TheCOLTis a short line railroad owned by the City ofColumbiaand operated by Columbia Water & Light. It provides railroad freight service toColumbiaand mid-Missouri.
