Public meeting for new building codes will be held May 4

COLUMBIA, MO (April 20, 2011) - The city of Columbia announces a public meeting to introduce the new building codes that will go into effect May 9. The meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 4, at 6 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers, 701 E. Broadway. Representatives from Public Works, Water & Light and the Fire Department will present information on the following:

*2009 International Building Codes

*2009 International Fire Code

*2008 National Electrical Code

*Energy Provisions Of The Code
