Open house/interested parties meeting for Forum Boulevard improvements

COLUMBIA, MO (December 5, 2011) - The Public Works Department announces an informal open house concerning roadway improvements for Forum Boulevard. The meeting will be held Tuesday, Dec. 13, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, Room 1B.

The purpose is to discuss the scope, design and scheduling of Forum Boulevard improvements, which include:

*   Adding a lane on Forum Boulevard from Katy Lane to the bridge to incorporate turn lanes at the Victoria Park driveway and at the MKT driveway;

*  Restrict left-ins at Wilson's Total Fitness Center driveway, Crestwood Lane and Country Club of Missouri driveway; and

*  Restrict left-outs at Woodrail Avenue, Crestwood Lane, Country Club of Missouri driveway and Shoreside Drive.

Information, maps and diagrams for these projects will be available for public review, and city staff will be present to answer questions and receive comments. Construction is currently scheduled for fall 2012. Questions about the meeting should be directed to the Public Works Department at (573) 874-7250.
