Temporary closure of Locust Street for repair work

COLUMBIA, MO (December 9, 2011) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department announces that Monday, Dec. 12, Remsel Excavating will temporarily close Locust Street to repair pavement. Work will be done on Locust Street, between 10th and Hitt. Traffic will be re-routed around the work area.

This work will result in a temporary street closure throughout the day starting at 7:30 a.m. The work should be completed and the street fully reopened by 5 p.m. the same day, weather permitting. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and will need to use an alternate route.
