Public Health and Human Services toReopen
Building Will Open to the Public at 10 am on Thursday
 
The Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health andHuman Services will reopen to the public at 10 am on Thursday, February 3rd. The two-hour delay willallow for a safer commute for our employees and give staff the opportunity toensure the building and grounds are ready for the public. Please note that somestaff may be unable to report to work, possibly resulting in some servicesbeing unavailable.
 
As residents dig out and resume normal activities, pleasenote the following safety tips:

* stay     off the roads unless travel is absolutely necessary
* when     outside (especially when shoveling snow), dress appropriately (hat,     gloves/mittens, etc.) and be aware of hypothermia, frostbite and     overexertion
* continue     to check on neighbors, especially elderly ones, to ensure their safety
