Trash and recycling services for tomorrow

COLUMBIA, MO (February 3, 2011) - Residential trash and recycling services are expected to resume on Friday, Feb. 4. Due to the condition of residential streets, however, some residents may still be impacted. Public Works asks residents who can hold their trash and recycling until next week to do so.

Collection crews will work on the Friday routes to the best of their ability. There may be some areas that trucks will simply not be able to reach, especially in cul-de-sacs where there is so much snow that trucks cannot safely maneuver, or if cars are parked in the way. Routes will run only on an accessibility basis. The landfill is open regular hours. Everyone's patience is appreciated. Public Works hopes to be back on the regular pickup schedule next week.
