COLUMBIA, MO (March 23, 2011) - Putting people to work with renewable energy
Advancing Renewables in the Midwest conference
March 30, 2011 from 7:30 am to 4:40 pm.
Christopher S. Bond Life Sciences Center
University of Missouri - Columbia campus
Speakers from across the nation will be in Columbiato discuss renewable energy development and energy efficiency at the Advancing Renewables in theMidwest conference. The theme of this year's conference is the economic development aspect of renewable energy. There will be speakers from the American Wind Energy Industry Association, the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy and Missouri's Public Service Commission. Topics range from attracting renewable energy businesses and manufacturing jobs to biomass energy development.
The cost of the conference is $75 for the general public and $100 for energy professionals. Registration can be accomplished online at AdvancingRenewables.org or by calling (573) 882-4349 or emailing muconf3 at missouri.edu. A list of speakers and topics can also be found on the Web site. Reporters covering the event for a story need to check in at the registration desk the day of the conference.
The sixth annual Advancing Renewables in the Midwest conference is hosted by Columbia Water & Light and the University of Missouri's Department of Soil, Environmental and Atmospheric Sciences.
