Street closure at Lakeview Avenue and Range Line

COLUMBIA, MO (November 3, 2011) - The City of Columbia Public Works Department announces that beginning Monday, Nov. 7, at 7 a.m., Grun-D Construction LLC will temporarily close Lakeview Avenue at Range Line to construct new roadway pavement. The work should be completed and the road fully reopened by 7 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, weather permitting.

Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route when possible. Contractors are putting in new sidewalk on Range Line from Business Loop 70 to Big Bear Boulevard. The project is part of the $22 million non-motorized pilot program being funded by the Federal Highway Administration.
