Sewer work rescheduled on Walnut Street due to weather

COLUMBIA, MO (November 9, 2011) - Beginning Thursday, Nov. 10, Remsel Excavating, working for Trittenbach Development, will close Walnut Street from Hubbell Street to College Avenue for sewer repairs. Walnut Street will be closed in this area throughout the entire project, including the weekend. The work is expected to be complete on Thursday, Nov. 17, weather permitting. This work was originally scheduled for last week but had to be delayed due to rain.

Walnut Street will be closed to traffic between Hubbell Street and College Avenue to repair a sanitary sewer manhole and connect a new service line. Motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution when driving near the work area and use an alternate route during the construction work.
