City offices closed for New Year’s holiday

COLUMBIA, MO (December 26, 2012) - City offices will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 1, in observance of New Year's. Residential refuse and recycling collection will not be made Tuesday and will be delayed one day the rest of the week. Questions concerning holiday refuse collection should be directed to the Public Works Solid Waste Division at 874-6291.

City buses will not operate, the sanitary landfill will be closed and parking meter regulations will not be enforced Jan. 1. Buses will run on the regular schedule New Year's Eve with the addition of a downtown shuttle that will run for the First Night celebration. Though administrative offices for both the police and fire departments will be closed Jan. 1, all other emergency services will be available.
