Parking Restrictions in two parking lots and surrounding streets for FirstNight Columbia 2013

COLUMBIA, MO (December 21, 2012) - Parking will be prohibited in the Amory parking lot and the 9th and Ash parking lot from 5:00 PM on Monday, December 31 through 6:00 am on Tuesday, January 1, 2013. 
Parking on Ash between 7th and 9th as well as parking on 8th between Park and Ash will also be prohibited during the same hours. 
Vehicles in the parking lots or on the streets mentioned will have to be towed. 
These are regular parking lot and street closures for the annual First Night Columbia fireworks which will be discharged at midnight on New Years Eve, weather permitting. The fireworks are discharged from the lot at 9th and Ash requiring the Armory lot and two streets to be closed for safety issues. 
Parking is available at all parking garages in the downtown area for First Night attendees. 
We appreciate your cooperation and hope that you can make it downtown to enjoy First Night 2013.
