Cumulus Radio Group Honored at Statewide Conference

COLUMBIA, MO (March 7, 2012) - Cumulus Radio Group was honored at the Missouri Parks and Recreation Association's (MPRA) annual conference with the Citation Award. Cumulus was presented with one of six awards given to individuals and organizations across the state that support Park and Recreation Departments.

 

Cumulus won the award for their support and sponsorships through radio stations KPLA 101.5, KFRU 1400 and KBXR 102.3. These stations have been partners of Columbia Parks and Recreation in helping to promote the Family Fun Fests, Outdoor Movies in the Park, Heritage Festival, Fourth of July Fire in the Sky, and Tiger Night of Fun to the public. 

 

In addition, Cumulus has partnered with Parks and Recreation on a weekly radio show that is broadcast on KFRU on Sunday mornings.

 

Columbia Parks and Recreation nominated Cumulus for the Citation Award, which was judged by a statewide panel in the parks and recreation field.
