Artist from Columbia’s sister city will visit

COLUMBIA, MO (May 30, 2012) - The public is invited to join the City of Columbia in recognizing Ms. Fan Yun, an artist from Shandong Province, China, where one of Columbia's sister cities is located. Yun will visit Columbia in June as an honored guest of the community and Columbia Friends of China. She creates works of art out of carefully cut leaves and paper.  

Her itinerary is as follows:

*June 2-3, Columbia Art in the Park Festival, Stephens Lake Park, 2-5 p.m.;

*June 4, City Council meeting presentation, 7-7:15 p.m.; and

*June 6 - Presentation in the Friends Room at Daniel Boone Regional Library, 7-8:30 p.m.
