East Nifong Blvd closure between Bearfield and Rockquarry on Thursday, April 25

COLUMBIA, MO (April 23, 2013) - Columbia Public Works announces the closing of East Nifong Boulevard between Rock Quarry Road and Bearfield Road, to replace a failing storm water drainage culvert. 

The road closure will begin at approximately 8:00 a.m., Thursday, April 25. The road will be closed to through traffic, however, it will be open to local traffic. The road should be opened to through traffic Thursday evening.

Final pavement repairs will result in additional lane restrictions through 5:00 PM on Friday, April 26.

Motorists, cyclist, and pedestrians will need to use an alternate route on Thursday and should expect delays on Friday.

Should weather prevent this work from being performed on Thursday, April 25, it will be rescheduled to begin on Monday, April 29.
