City will broadcast select meetings through Google+

COLUMBIA, MO (August 2, 2013) - The City of Columbia recently joined Google+ to broadcast live city meetings, beginning with the Aug. 5 City Council meeting.

Google+ is the official social networking platform of Google, one of the world's largest and most popular search engines. The city's Google+ page can be found at https://plus.google.com/112773030207221767929/posts or by searching “City of Columbia, MO Meetings” on the Google+ site. On-air events will be posted on this page and are free and open the public. Users will need a Google+ profile (https://plus.google.com/).

In the future, the city hopes to share other select boards and commissions meetings via Google+ as well.
