City manager makes decision on Sanders appeal

COLUMBIA, MO (December 26, 2013) - City Manager Mike Matthes announced today that he will not reinstate Rob Sanders to the Columbia Police Department.

In accordance with the provisions of chapter 19 of the city’s Code of Ordinances, Matthes had 30 days to respond to Sander’s November 2013 appeal hearing in front of the Personnel Advisory Board.

“After careful consideration of the testimony and evidence submitted during Mr. Sanders’s appeal hearing, I will not reinstate Mr. Sanders,” Matthes said.

Matthes has notified the parties involved and will not discuss the matter further.
