Armed Robbery Dollar General

COLUMBIA, MO (December 30, 2013) - On 12/30/13 at 4:10 P.M., officers were dispatched to 3700 Monterey Drive in reference to an armed robbery.  The investigation revealed a black male wearing a puffy coat entered the store armed with a handgun and demanded money from the cashier.  The suspect grabbed an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register and fled the scene on foot heading southbound from the business. The cashier was not injured during the robbery. Investigators are on the scene gathering information and video surveillance. There is no further suspect information at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
