Refuse and Recycling Collection Issues

COLUMBIA, MO (February 21, 2013) - Our refuse and recycling collection efforts are being severely hampered by poor road conditions. MoDOT, Boone County, and city streets are all snow covered and heavy thunder snow continues to fall.

We will continue our scheduled routes as long as possible. Some of our scheduled collections may not be able to occur today. We are working on a plan which may involve some Saturday collections. We will provide our customers with updates as soon as possible, likely on Friday.

We appreciate our customers understanding as our collectors work hard in these extreme weather conditions.
