ASSAULT WITH A KNIFE AT DAYS INN MOTEL

COLUMBIA, MO (February 23, 2013) - MEDIA RELEASE ~ 2/23/13

 

ASSAULT WITH A KNIFE AT DAYS INN MOTEL

 

On 2/23/13 at 1:45 A.M., officers were dispatched to 1900 I-70 Drive Southwest, Days Inn Motel, in reference to a disturbance in the parking lot with a knife. The investigation revealed a white male victim, 31, was stabbed several times by the suspect Zackery Simmons during the fight on the parking lot.  The male victim was transported by personal vehicle to a local hospital with non- life threatening injuries. The knife used in the assault was recovered during the search warrant of the motel room. Zackery Simmons, 21, was arrested for Assault in the first degree and armed criminal action with a to be set bond.
