National Night Out

COLUMBIA, MO (July 17, 2013) - MEDIA RELEASE ~ 7/17/13

 

National Night Out

 

The Columbia Police Department and Columbia Neighborhood Watch Association will be participating in the 30th annual National Night Out Tuesday, August 6, 2013.  Each neighborhood watch group can register their event at:  www.columbianeighborhoodwatch.org.  Please include what neighborhood association, where and when the event is taking place and a contact person’s name and phone number. 

 

National Night Out is designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for and participation in local anticrime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police –community partnerships and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting crime.

 

National Night Out brings neighbors and law enforcement together for a relaxing evening during a wide variety of events such as: cook outs, block parties, ice cream socials, and festivals.
