It's Rain Barrel Kit Pickup Day!

COLUMBIA, MO (June 28, 2013) - The City of Columbia Stormwater Utility in partnership with Rain Water Solutions, provided customers the ability to purchase a complete 50 gallon rain barrel kit for a reduced price.

Today, beginning at 12:30 PM through 4:30 PM, those that ordered over 450 rain barrel kits will pick them up at the Columbia/Boone County Health and Human Services Division at 1005 West Worley Street. The pickup location is on the west side of the parking lot near the cellular tower.

Staff and volunteers will be on hand to assist customers in picking up and loading as well as providing installation advice if needed. Staff and volunteers are not able to install the rain barrels on customers property.

There will be a very limited number of rain barrels for sale at the site. Customers who did not pre-order and wish to purchase a rain barrel kit are encouraged to arrive early. First come, first served and no reservations can be taken. The program will return in the spring of 2014 for those who were not able to pre-order during this fall event.
