Public Input Sought on Amendment to the 2013 Community Development Action Plan

COLUMBIA, MO (March 1, 2013) - The City of Columbia will hold a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013, in the Council Chambers of City Hall, 701 E. Broadway.  The purpose of this hearing is to receive citizen input on a proposed amendment to the City’s Action Plan for FY 2013.  The Action Plan was originally approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on January 2, 2013.  The City of Columbia amends its Action Plan whenever it removes a project not previously approved; or substantially changes the purpose, scope, location or beneficiaries of a project.  The proposed amendment results from the change in HUD funding for FY 2013.  Changes in funding for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME funding include:

The proposed Action Plan amendment will be available for review and comment at the Community Development Department, 5th Floor, Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway, until 5:00 P.M., Monday, March 4, 2013; or can be viewed on the City’s website here.  For further information, contact the Community Development Coordinator at 573-874-6321.  The City Hall Building is an accessible facility for persons with disabilities; any person with special needs may call (573) 874-7239.
