Broadway Sidewalk Closure and Intermittent Lane Closures

COLUMBIA, MO (November 8, 2013) - The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced today that at 7 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, Grove Construction LLC will begin removal and replacement of the existing sidewalk and drive approach at 63 E. Broadway. This work will result in a sidewalk closure along the frontage of 63 E. Broadway (north side of East Broadway between First Street and Garth Avenue). The work will also result in intermittent lane closures of the north westbound lane at this location while the existing curb and gutter along the drive approach is removed and replaced. The work should be completed and the road and sidewalk fully reopened by 4 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
