Columbia Police Conduct Saturation Effort

COLUMBIA, MO (September 14, 2013) - MEDIA RELEASE ~ 09-14-13

 

Columbia Police Conduct Saturation Effort

 

The Columbia Police Department with the assistance of the Boone County Sheriff Department, Missouri State Highway Patrol, the University of Missouri Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, and the United States Marshall Service, took part in a saturation effort on Thursday, 09-12-13, and Friday, 09-13-13. 

 

During this saturation effort officers patrolled high crime areas throughout the City of Columbia and adjoining Boone County areas looking for criminal activity and searching for people with arrest warrants.  Officers initiated numerous traffic stops and check subject calls.  These proactive measures resulted in several arrests.  Exact numbers are not available at this time.

 

When additional details become available they will be released.
